About Evelyn's Corner

Evelyn's Corner started as a cozy, process-based art studio in Philadelphia offering parties, private classes, pop-up workshops, Adult DIY nights, and more! Join our mailing list to stay updated. Children's workshops combine design and engineering through the use of innovative materials. Children are guided to take risks, express themselves, and follow their own creative interests. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individualized attention and a cozy feel

Lexi Weiner, Owner & Teacher

Lexi studied architecture at Lehigh University and the University of Pennsylvania. Her background in art and architecture contribute to her unique interdisciplinary approach to teaching children. Lexi implemented the first Fab Lab specifically designed for early childhood that exposed children as young as 3 to digital fabrication. She worked at the Bay Area Discovery Museum creating programs to enable children to build science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) skills through hands-on learning. Lexi has 9 years of experience teaching art and design in grades PreK-5 and is a painter herself!

A note from Lexi:

As a little girl, I was mesmerized by art and was blessed to have a mother who encouraged me to follow my creativity. I remember my first pottery class, the smells, the new tools and the teacher. I remember my friend's chocolate decorating birthday party and getting immersed in the details of applying sprinkles to the gooey chocolate surface. I remember building my first architecture model in our basement until midnight. It was these early experiences that laid the foundation for me to become the person that I am today. I am grateful that I had these opportunities and it is my joy to offer them to children and adults in a safe space where they can let their imaginations run wild. Evelyn's Corner is named after my Grandma Evelyn who spread community and kindness throughout her life. I look forward to meeting you and creating together!
